01Overview
What is LLP Form 11?
A Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) combines the operational flexibility of a partnership with limited liability for its partners, subject to applicable law. Registered LLPs must fulfil prescribed annual compliance requirements under the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008, and its rules.
Form 11 is the annual return that an LLP is generally required to file with the Registrar of Companies (ROC) through the MCA portal. It gives the Ministry of Corporate Affairs prescribed information about the LLP, its partners and designated partners, and contribution details as of the reporting date.
Unlike an income tax return, Form 11 is a corporate compliance filing. An LLP may have separate income tax and financial statement filing obligations, depending on the applicable requirements.
