01Overview
About APEDA registration
The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) was established in 1985 under the APEDA Act, 1985, to promote and develop the export of specified agricultural and processed food products from India. Operating under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, APEDA supports eligible exporters through export promotion initiatives, market information, guidance, and applicable assistance schemes.
APEDA registration is generally required for exporters dealing in products specified under the APEDA Act. Eligible exporters must obtain a Registration-Cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC) from APEDA to meet the applicable registration requirements and access relevant export promotion opportunities, subject to applicable rules and exemptions.
APEDA registration is generally a one-time registration and does not require renewal every five years under the standard framework. Exporters should check the latest APEDA guidelines for applicable updates and ongoing compliance requirements.
